The 10th World Hearing Voices Congress is coming to The Hague on 13th and 14th September 2018. On both days, the afternoon will consist of a symposium in the main hall and workshops in the surrounding rooms.
Would you like to contribute a workshop or presentation?
Do you have experiences or perspectives to share, or dialogues or activities you would like to facilitate during the congress? We are inviting attendees to submit proposals for workshops and presentations.
Whilst the Congress theme is human rights, we welcome proposals on any topic that relates to hearing voices, seeing visions and similar experiences.
Previous congresses have included presentations and workshops on the following topics: personal experiences; spirituality; living with voices; paranoia; diversity; experiences of taking and coming off psychiatric medication; coping strategies; shame; new initiatives; talking with voices; visions; surviving trauma; experiences of coercion; human rights; shamanism; setting up and facilitating hearing voices groups; creative ways of working with voices; supporting children and young people; setting up initiatives in prisons and other secure settings; living with self-harm and suicidal feelings; dialogue.
We have two formats:
- Lecture and discussion (15 + 10 minutes) at the afternoon symposium.
- Workshop (90 minutes).
Please send in the title of lecture or of the workshop you want to present together with an abstract (max 200 words) to firstname.lastname@example.org
The organisers will select and reply asap when your proposal is accepted.
Please note: Please only submit a proposal if you are planning to attend the Congress and understand that we are unable to offer payment or reimbursement of fees or travel expenses.
If you have any questions, please email us.
